Last night the Yankees GM spoke on the Yankees Hot Stove Show on the YES Network and among other things he talked about, he made it apparent that the Yankees are “99.9 percent plus” done with making moves this offseason. However, they will still stay engaged in talks to see if maybe they can make something happen when it comes to the starting rotation while also noting that there is nothing pending right now. They are still engaging with the White Sox for Jose Quintana.
He also commented on how difficult it has been in the trade market despite offering high-end prospects,”I’m willing to put some high-end prospects on the table to get deals done, and I have done that so far this winter, but the price tags out there are even higher than that.”
Basically don’t expect seeing Jose Quintana in pinstripes unless their price for him dramatically decreases from now until the season starts.
